I'm shooting a 331 with 28" 70# and 390gr arrow.What kind of speed should I be getting with this setup?

Depending on whats on the string and cam timing 263 to 268

Hey Trey,what do you mean by" depending on the cam timing"?Do you mean assuming it's in time,I could max out at 268 or so?I've got a d-loop,meta peep,and the leaches on the string.I did have to put a couple twists in the string but the timing reference screw is dead even with the bottom limb.I was hoping I'd get at least 270 or so out of this setup.I just hate to drive 3 hrs to shoot it thru a chrono.Thanks for always replying.

If you slightly over rotate (i.e. inner mod scrw 1/16" in from the limb) you'll build a little extra weight and shoot faster.

here are some speeds from a CR331-
Ross 331 @29 Inches @70lbs & 365 grains= 280fps with KE of 63.55 Ross 331 @29 Inches @70lbs & 360 grains= 282fps with KE of 63.58 Ross 331 @29 Inches @70lbs & 426 grains= 260fps with KE of 63.96
I am shooting my 70 pounder at 65 lbs./ 28.5" draw and am getting 264 FPS outta a 361 grain arrow.
